Maybe there is a good reason for why this is logged separately, but usually I think it’s better to have them in one place (maybe with 2 different font colors) so that I can see at which point in the stdout an error was logged.

We keep them separated as they are two separate streams. Also if you regularly print something to the console, you may not want to mix it with error messages.
One detail is that stderr and stdout have timestamp, so it might be possible to you to align them. Take a look at the example:
